St Berres' Church, Ruthin Road, Llanferres - Contact Rev Daniel J Stroud E-mail: [email protected]

With a cornerstone laid in 1650, St Berres replaced an earlier medieval church on the site. It’s construction was funded by a bequest from the Revd John Davies, who was a translator of the Welsh Bible along with William Morgan. Work done to restore and maintain the church includes a victorian roodscreen, a relief triptych, arts and crafts decoration and stencilling, and a lady chapel.

It is set within walking distance of Offa’s Dyke trail, and next to the popular Druid Inn pub right in the heart of the village.

The church is open during daylight hours through spring, summer and autumn. In the winter months, the key is available from the Rector or Wardens whose contact detailed are shown below and on the sign outside the church.
