The Council has been successful in securing a grant from the National Lottery – People and Places fund, to cover the costs of employing a landscape architect to prepare drawings, material specifications and other documents required to go out to formal tender to improve facilities in Maes Ysgawen park, Llanferres.
When concept drawings are available, they will be presented to the community for their views and suggestions at a public meeting to be held sometime in the new year.
The Council has also secured funding from Denbighshire CC’s Sustainable Development fund to remove a number of dead trees and prune others along the boundary between the park and Llanferres playing field.
There may be bats roosting in at least one of the trees and therefore advice is being sought from Denbighshire CC.
If you would like any further information on either of these projects, please speak to the Clerk, one of the Councillors or a member of the Park Improvements Committee.
